COACHED SESSIONS FOR CERTIFIED FREEDIVERS

“How deep today?” is not the first question.

A useful training session starts by identifying what actually limits the dive. Equalization can fail before fitness. Technique can disappear after a break. Freefall can create tension instead of relaxation. Sometimes the right session is not deeper — it is cleaner.

Tell us your certification, recent depth, current difficulty and what you want to improve. We choose the session objective from there and keep the number of variables small enough to produce useful feedback.

Quick answer: Life Aquatic training dives are coached depth sessions for certified freedivers. A single session is €55, regular training is shore-based, and our normal format is two divers sharing one buoy.
Before booking: Send your certification, comfortable / maximum recent depth, equalization method, dates in Kaş and the main thing you want to improve.

WHO TRAINING IS FOR

You already know how to freedive. Now you want to improve something specific.

Training dives are not a substitute for a beginner course. They are for certified freedivers who want coaching, structure and direct feedback during depth sessions.

  • You are certified and want to return to depth after a break.
  • You are stuck with Frenzel, mouthfill or equalization timing.
  • You want cleaner freefall, turns, finning, relaxation or line technique.
  • You are preparing for a course, deeper training block or competition.

WHAT WE CAN WORK ON

One session, one clear priority.

01

Equalization

Frenzel mechanics, mouthfill preparation, charging, glottis control, timing, head position and depth-specific troubleshooting.

02

Relaxation & freefall

Reduce unnecessary tension, improve body position and make the transition into negative buoyancy calmer and more stable.

03

Depth technique

Duck dive, line orientation, finning, turns, ascent rhythm and small technical details that cost energy when they are inconsistent.

04

Depth adaptation

Progressive exposure to pressure and depth with enough recovery to keep technique and decision-making clean.

05

Return after a break

Rebuild confidence, equalization rhythm and water feel without trying to recover your previous maximum depth in one session.

06

Performance preparation

Session planning, warm-up choices, repeatability, recovery and technical preparation for deeper or competition-focused diving.

Life Aquatic approach: We do not use maximum depth as the only measure of a good session. Clean technique, repeatability, recovery and good decisions matter more than one deep dive.

HOW A SESSION WORKS

Assess first. Dive second.

The exact session changes with the diver, conditions and objective, but the coaching process stays simple.

01

Set the objective

We review your recent diving, equalization, depth, current issue and what would make the session successful.

02

Prepare

Use dry work, breathing, equalization drills or simple warm-up dives only when they support the session objective.

03

Coached line dives

Dive with direct feedback on technique, equalization, relaxation, timing and progression.

04

Adjust

Change one variable at a time rather than repeating the same mistake at a greater depth.

05

Finish with a plan

Leave knowing what worked, what still needs attention and what the next session should focus on.
