SPECIALIZE YOUR TECHNIQUE
Free Immersion uses the dive line for propulsion, removing finning from the equation and making it easier to focus on equalization, relaxation, alignment and pressure adaptation.
It can be a powerful tool for improving technique even if Free Immersion is not your primary depth discipline.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Free Immersion is especially useful when you want more time to feel pressure changes, refine body position and make the descent calmer.
WHAT WE WORK ON
The exact sequence adapts to the diver and conditions, while the required SSI standards remain the foundation of the program.
Efficient hand placement, rhythm and a controlled start.
Use the line to notice head position, torso alignment and unnecessary tension.
Coordinate pulls with early, gentle and consistent equalization.
Build a calmer descent without the workload of fin propulsion.
Use Free Immersion as a technical tool within your current certification limits.
WHAT YOU DEVELOP
Efficient pulling without wasting energy.
More time to notice timing and pressure changes.
Improve body position and reduce drag.
Reduce unnecessary movement and muscular load.
Use the line for stable, repeatable descents.
Apply what you learn to other depth disciplines.
WHY LIFE AQUATIC IN KAŞ
Kaş gives us easy access to depth, which makes Free Immersion especially useful for progressive technical work. We keep the emphasis on relaxed pulls, early equalization and repeatable technique rather than simply reaching a number.
We use progressive practice, individual feedback and realistic session goals so the skill you learn is repeatable — not something that only worked once during the course.

COURSE FAQ
Free Immersion is a depth discipline where the freediver uses the dive line to descend and ascend rather than fin propulsion.
SSI allows students age 12+ with Pool Freediver certification or higher, or an accepted equivalent.
Depth remains within your current certification limits. For a Pool Freediver, SSI limits Free Immersion open-water training to 20 metres.
It reduces the workload of finning and creates more space to focus on equalization, relaxation and body alignment.
No. It is useful as a technical training discipline at many levels.
Potentially, depending on your certification, schedule and training load. Contact us before booking.
Yes. Because you are not finning, you have more time and less workload to notice timing, head position and pressure changes.
Yes. Many divers use it as a technical tool even when bi-fins or monofin remain their primary discipline.
