1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Enquiry and booking data: name, phone / WhatsApp number, email, preferred dates, the course you are interested in, group size, equipment needs and anything you write to us.
• Training data: certification level, experience, depths, training notes and the information SSI requires to register you and issue your certification (for example name, date of birth, contact details and photo).
• Health data: the SSI medical statement and any health information you choose to share so we can assess whether it is safe for you to train. This is special-category data and is processed only with your explicit consent and only as far as safety requires.
• Payment records: what you paid and when. Payments at the school are made in cash; we do not collect card details on this website.

The contact form on this website does not store anything on a server. It prepares a message that is sent through your own WhatsApp or email app.

3. Why we use it and the legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and organise your course or training — steps before and performance of a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c; GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• To register you with SSI and issue certification — performance of the contract.
• To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation (KVKK art. 5/2-ç; GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
• To keep training safe, including dive logs and safety notes — our legitimate interest in safe operation (KVKK art. 5/2-f; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
• To assess medical fitness — your explicit consent (KVKK art. 6; GDPR art. 9(2)(a)).
• To share photos or videos of you on social media — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

• SSI (Scuba Schools International), for course registration and certification. SSI operates internationally, so this data may be transferred abroad; we only do so to deliver the certification you asked for and, where required, with your explicit consent.
• Messaging and email providers you choose to contact us with (for example WhatsApp / Meta, or your email provider).
• Our accountant and public authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
• Booking and training records: up to 5 years after your last course, for safety and certification questions.
• Accounting records: for the period required by Turkish tax law (generally 10 years).
• Health information: no longer than needed for the course it was collected for, unless the law requires otherwise.

6. Your rights

Under KVKK article 11 (and, if you are in the EU/EEA, the GDPR) you can ask whether we process your data, get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, learn who it was shared with, object to processing and withdraw consent. Send your request to info@lifeaquatickas.com or by post to the address above. We reply free of charge within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU/EEA, to your local data protection authority.

We will update this notice if the way we handle data changes. The date below shows the latest version.
