PERFORMANCE WITH CONTROL
Performance Freediver is designed for experienced freedivers who already have solid fundamentals and want to understand how deeper performance is built systematically.
Training focuses on advanced equalization, adaptation to pressure, relaxation under load, efficient movement, dive planning and safety for performance-level depth work.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Performance Freediver is for experienced divers who want structured work on deep equalization, compression, adaptation, efficiency and performance-level safety.
YOUR 5–6 DAY COURSE
The exact sequence adapts to the diver and conditions, while the required SSI standards remain the foundation of the program.
Review your current depth, equalization, recovery, technique and training history.
We teach mouthfill theory, dry mechanics, charging, glottis control and progressive in-water application for deeper pressure management.
Work with relaxation, compression, freefall and efficient transitions through deeper phases of the dive.
Improve warm-up choices, repetition strategy, surface recovery, buddy planning and risk management.
Use progressive performance dives to turn the course skills into repeatable, sustainable technique.
WHAT YOU DEVELOP
Build the mechanics, timing and control needed to maintain an equalization air reserve as pressure increases.
Understand and manage the physiological demands of deeper dives.
Reduce unnecessary muscular effort and improve hydrodynamics.
Develop a calmer, more stable transition into negative buoyancy.
Plan and supervise deeper training with stronger margins and judgment.
Build sessions around adaptation, recovery and repeatability rather than single maximum attempts.
WHY LIFE AQUATIC IN KAŞ
Your course is personally led by Adnan Yanbay, SSI Instructor Trainer and competitive freediving coach, with a maximum of three students per instructor for focused feedback. At Life Aquatic we teach mouthfill as a skill, not a trick. We first assess your Frenzel and current depth technique, then use dry drills, controlled mouthfill practice, pressure-adaptation work and progressive open-water sessions so the technique becomes understandable and repeatable.
We use progressive practice, individual feedback and realistic session goals so the skill you learn is repeatable — not something that only worked once during the course.

COURSE FAQ
SSI requires age 18+, Advanced Freediver or recognized equivalent, and at least 30 logged in-water freediving sessions.
SSI sets the open-water training range at 30–40 metres, with a maximum depth of 40 metres.
Life Aquatic normally runs Performance Freediver over 5–6 days. SSI recommends 32–40 hours.
Advanced equalization and deeper pressure-management strategy are part of performance-level development. The exact technique work depends on the diver.
No. The course is about safe performance-level skill development within your ability and training progression.
Continue structured coaching, specialties or pursue the professional pathway if that matches your goals.
Yes. Mouthfill is a core part of our Performance Freediver training. We teach the theory, dry mechanics, charging, glottis control and progressive in-water application.
We strongly prefer a reliable Frenzel because mouthfill builds on the same pressure-control mechanics. We assess your Frenzel first and correct weaknesses before moving deeper into mouthfill work.
That is normal. The objective is to understand and begin developing the technique safely. We use dry work and progressive depth rather than forcing an immediate deep result.
No. The program combines advanced equalization, pressure adaptation, efficiency, coaching, stretching, safety and performance planning.
