Our Story

Aquatic means relating to water, living surrounded by or in the water.As people who feel the importance of connecting to water, in fact that its essential to our lives, we have established ourselves surrounded by it and spend as much time in it as possible! Freediving is one of the best ways For us the life aquatic is just that, a lifestyle As much as a dive school, its a place for people to share in that lifestyle, to enjoy discovering this freedom of expression and above all to have an amazing experience that we get to share in. We are here because we love the sea, nature, the sky, the stars and because we love peace. We think its really important to look after ourselves by looking after our world, and we love the way freediving brings people together and connects us.

Who We Are?

Adnan Yanbay

Everything began when I secretly returned the fish my father caught to where they truly belonged — the sea. Born in Istanbul in 1979, Adnan Yanbay is a true man of the sea, whose deep connection with water was shaped along Istanbul’s coastal neighborhoods, the powerful currents of the Bosphorus, and the depths of the Princes’ Islands. Rooted in his Black Sea heritage, this innate bond with water drew him to the blue world from a very early age.

Isabel Both Yanbay

The very first foundation of our school was laid by a passion for the blue — the force that continues to guide us.
Although our founding member, the dearly valued Isabel Both, now lives in Germany and is no longer physically with us, her spirit and vision remain an essential part of our diving school.
At every depth we reach, we carry the legacy she left behind.
On every blue journey, we keep her name alive in the endless shades of the sea.
She is a permanent member of our school,
and forever the compass in the deepest parts of our hearts.
